Neofavolus suavissimus is a species of fungus belonging to the family Polyporaceae.
I spotted *Neofavolus suavissimus* on a post-meal Thanksgiving walk. It had finally been raining after a long dry spell.
[Tree suds](https://www.nhpr.org/nh-news/2022-05-13/outside-inbox-what-is-that-white-foam-that-forms-on-the-trees-when-it-rains) popped up everywhere. I didn't find too much of interest, but I came across these on a fallen branch by the side of the trail. I'm unsure what type of wood it was growing on.
Found on the Whitney Road Conservation Area near Rattlesnake Gutter Road.
